Nieto (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. With the Sharks ruling out Nieto for his fourth straight game Thursday, the roster move doesn't change his situation since he'll have already missed a week due to the injury. Nieto will target a return to the lineup Saturday versus the Predators and will be activated from IR if he demonstrates some progress before that time with his ankle injury.
