Nieto (ankle) announced Sunday he was ready to play, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports. The latest news likely indicates Nieto will return Tuesday against the Canucks barring a setback. He has been out since early December because of the ankle issue, but practiced both Thursday and Friday. In the off chance he is unable to go Tuesday, his next chance to return would come Wednesday against the Ducks.
