Niemi didn't play especially well in his last start against the Ducks, giving up three goals on 20 shots. He still earned the win however, and as long as the proficient Dallas offense (3.44 goals scored per game) keeps it up, he ought to have a chance to earn the win in most games. The matchup at home against the Canucks is a relatively decent one, as the Canucks have been fairly average to start the season. If the Stars offense can keep their positive momentum going, the 32 year-old Niemi should have every opportunity to notch another victory.
