Niemi will be between the pipes for Tuesday's game against the Canucks, CSN Bay Area's Kevin Kurz reports. Though the Sharks received a shutout from backup goalie Alex Stalock a night earlier to snap an eight-game home losing streak, coach Todd McLellan will turn the net back over to his No. 1 netminder for the second half of a back-to-back set. Niemi has been far from reliable of late, losing three consecutive games to drop his season GAA to 2.62. Though he still owns a 24-17-7 record and is worth a roster spot in any format, Niemi would be most ideally deployed on a matchups basis. He won't get a favorable draw against the Canucks, who rank 10th in the league with 2.84 goals per game.
