Niemi stopped 10 of 11 shots after replacing Kari Lehtonen in a 5-2 loss to the Sharks.

EDGE Analysis
While Niemi was only in this one to relieve Lehtonen, he was strong in the time he did play. Hopefully such a performance will carry over into his next performance and help Niemi pick up his first win since Feb. 23.
