Nicklas Backstrom made 23 saves in the Wild's 2-1 shootout win over the Calgary Flames. Backstrom is as reliable as they come, even on the Wild's poor teams in the past. His only problem in the past has been injury problems. With all of the money the Wild management has spent on their new blueline and star winger Zach Parise, Backstrom should be in for an even stronger season. His numbers are steady but the biggest improvement should be in the wins and loses category. He makes for a strong number two fantasy goalie.
