Neuvirth was pulled after allowing three goals on 17 shots in Tuesday's shootout win over the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth was bailed out by his teammates after allowing three unanswered goals to the Sabres in the second period, as the Flyers charged back in the third to tie it before prevailing in the skills contest. He was considered by many to have an upper hand over Steve Mason in the Flyers crease heading into the season, but the tone is changing relatively quickly now that he's given up seven goals on just 33 shots in his last two appearances. Mason hasn't exactly been otherworldly himself with a 2.77 GAA and .901 save percentage, but he's now appeared in six straight games and will likely be afforded extra rope as long as Neuvirth is struggling.
