Neuvirth stopped 30 shots as the Sabres lost to the Ducks 4-1 on Wednesday. It was a much better effort for the Sabres in their second meeting with the Ducks after getting outshot 44-12 and losing 5-1 in their first meeting. Neuvirth held the fort until the third period when Corey Perry scored two goals within 1:18 to complete his hat trick. The Sabres could've given Neuvirth a little more goal support, but Frederik Andersen remained on fire. Head coach Ted Nolan said he would split goaltending duties, which means Jhonas Enroth will draw the Kings on Thursday night. The Sabres are 0-1 in their current four-game road trip. It'll be a tough go for Sabres goalies this year with the team expected to finish in lottery position.
