Neuvirth (lower body) took part in an abbreviated practice Wednesday, his first since suffering a lower-body injury Feb. 1 during a practice session, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.

Neuvirth continues to work his way back from the lower-body injury that was originally dated with a 7-10 day timetable. While getting in a first practice certainly bodes well, his timing was reportedly off, and it seems likely he'll need to get a few more in before returning. He remains without a firm target date at this point, but Neuvirth probably won't be ready for the team's next game Thursday against the Sabres.
