Neuvirth denied 28 of 29 shots Sunday against the Capitals, but the lone goal allowed proved to be the dagger with Washington winning the series in six games.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth was brilliant between the posts, denying 103 of 105 shots (.981 save percentage) in the last three games. He clearly outplayed Steve Mason, who was handed the reins for Games 1-3, but lost all of those contests and put the Flyers in a deep hole. Both netminders will be under contract through next season, but one would think Neuvy's stellar postseason has him as the early favorite for the starting job in 2016-17.
