Smith (leg) is getting closer to full fitness but won't be in the lineup against Toronto on Tuesday.

Smith has been out of action since Oct. 19 versus Anaheim, a stretch of 23 games on the sidelines. With Mikko Koskinen struggling of late, he is stuck in a three-game losing streak, the Oilers would certainly welcome back the veteran Smith. Once activated off IR, Smith will likely split the workload with Koskinen for the rest of the year while Stuart Skinner makes his way back to the minors.
