Nate Thompson has inked a four-year/$6.4 million extension with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Thompson was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer and his name was already beginning to come up in trade rumors. Thompson has six goals and 10 points in 30 games this season.
