Nash (undisclosed) won't play Saturday against the Capitals, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports. Though he returned to practice Friday after sitting out Thursday's game against the Senators with a minor injury, Nash was still viewed as a game-day decision heading into Saturday's season finale. While Nash would likely receive clearance to play if the Rangers were playing a playoff game, the team decided to give the star winger some further time to recuperate rather than have him potentially aggravate the injury in a mostly meaningless game. With Nash ruled out Saturday, James Sheppard should benefit from another run in the lineup.
