Muzzin (upper body) signed a five-year, $20 million extension with the Kings on Wednesday, Chris Johnston of Sportsnet reports. Muzzin hasn't appeared in a game this season due to an upper-body injury, but it's clear the Kings view him as a cornerstone player for both now and the future. The 25-year-old struggled in the early stages of last season, but he came up huge for the team in their run to the Stanley Cup, finishing second to only Drew Doughty in ice time during the playoffs. Once healthy, Muzzin is slated to rejoin Doughty on the top pairing, and should represent a capable producer at both ends of the ice.
