Mueller was placed on waivers by the Blues on Wednesday, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Mueller played last season in Switzerland, but signed with the Blues on a one-year, two-way deal in the offseason. The 26-year-old has failed to crack the roster, and if he passes through waivers unclaimed, he should be assigned to AHL Chicago.
