Montreal has signed Brandon Prust to a four-year deal worth $10 million. He will earn $3 million next season, then $2.5 million for the next two years and $2 million in the final year. Prust posted 17 points and 156 penalty minutes in 82 games with the Rangers last campaign, while earning $800,000, so he certainly cashed in on the opening day of free agency.
