Tough luck for the Flames, who dropped their seventh straight, but Monahan has been burning brightly in a sea of darkness, averaging a point per game in that span. He'll need to pick up the pace a little to match last season's 62 points, but either way, it's hard to give Monahan much flak for Calgary's struggles this year. The 2013 No. 6 overall pick has been one of precious few Flames who fans can cheer about.
