Monahan (back) joined the regular game group for practice Sunday but sported a non-contact jersey while doing so, Roger Millions of Sportsnet Calgrary reports.

Monahan skated by himself Tuesday and has now progressed to the point of rejoining his teammates on the ice. The 21-year-old centerman will need to shed his non-contact jersey before returning to game action but he's t least tracking towards being ready for the start of the regular season, if not earlier.
