Galchenyuk just landed a one-year deal with Arizona on Oct. 5 and will now almost certainly miss Opening Night. The 27-year-old forward scored 12 points in 26 games with the Maple Leafs last season. Once healthy, Galchenyuk will either be a regular scratch or stuck in a bottom-six role.
