Milan Hejduk has agreed to a one-year contract extension with the Colorado Avalanche.

There was some speculation that Hejduk might retire after a disappointing 2011-12 campaign. He had a career-low 37 points in 81 games. Hejduk will reportedly make $2 million next season, which would be a noteworthy pay cut after his 2011-12 contract included $2.6 million in base salary and another $400,000 in performance bonuses.
