Mike Weaver has agreed to a two-year extension with the Florida Panthers. The terms of the deal are not yet known, but we wouldn't be surprised if Weaver got a raise from the $900,000 he's scheduled to make this season. The deal means that the Panthers have Weaver, Brian Campbell, Ed Jovanovski, and Mike Weaver all under contract through at least the 2013-14 campaign. In addition to that Dmitri Kulikov and Keaton Ellerby are both scheduled to be restricted free agents this summer. The Panthers still have plenty of cap space, so they should have no trouble locking up their RFAs.
