Mike Weaver appears as though he will test free agency. His agent has already said that the defenseman will field other offers after he didn't get much of a response from the Canadiens. Weaver was acquired from Florida a the trade deadline and he played well for Montreal, especially during the playoffs. In 72 games during the regular season, Weaver had 13 points, 121 hits and 128 blocks. During the postseason, he earned four points and a plus-8 rating in 17 appearances.
