Mike Smith made 23 saves for his third shutout of the season - all in his past 12 starts - and the 27th of his career as the Coyotes defeated the Canucks 1-0 Tuesday night. Smith has now played 52 games this season, which is the most in the NHL. He has a 21-18-10 record with a 2.72 goals-against average and .913 save percentage. The Coyotes need better numbers from him, if they want to make it to the playoffs.
