Mike Smith is slated to be between the pipes for Phoenix Thursday night against Detroit despite being blitzed in Anaheim on Wednesday. He allowed six goals on 21 shots in a 6-2 loss, but stayed in for the entire game. Smith was great against the Red Wings last week, stopping 40 of 42 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss, so that's probably why the team is sticking by him for Thursday's match-up.
