Mike Smith has already surpassed his previous career-high for games played. After an up-and-down three-plus season stint with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Smith seems to have finally reached his potential as a member of the Phoenix Coyotes. He has a 2.33 GAA and .925 save percentage in 44 starts, which is comparable to what Ilya Bryzgalov did for them before he signed with the Philadelphia Flyers. Smith is signed through 2012-13 and comes with a very reasonable $2 million cap hit.
