Mike Smith allowed three goals on 32 shots in Phoenix's 4-3 shootout loss to San Jose Friday night. Smith played a solid game, but let in both San Jose's penalty shots in the shootout competition. He now has a 15-8-8 record with a 2.83 goals-against average and .914 save percentage. The Coyotes will play immediately again on Saturday so they will probably start Thomas Greiss then against the Anaheim Ducks.
