Mike Ribeiro had his best game with the Phoenix Coyotes Saturday as he scored twice to lead his new team to a 5-2 rout of the visiting Detroit Red Wings. The goals were Ribeiro's second and third of the season. Ribeiro signed with the Coyotes as a free agent before the season. Goalie Mike Smith, incidentally, was credited with the Coyotes' fifth goal on the night, with one second left on the clock. Needless to say, it was his first, and probably his last, goal of the season. Other Phoenix scorers were Martin Hanzal (second) and Antoine Vermette (third). Mikkel Boedker notched two assists for the winners.
