Mike Knuble is expected to sign with the Philadelphia Flyers. According to GM Paul Holmgren, Knuble and the Flyers will agree to a contract after he passes his physical on Friday. The decision to bring back the former Philadelphia winger was made shortly after news broke that Scott Hartnell would be out of commission for 4-8 weeks with a broken foot. "Obviously we're familiar with Mike," said Holmgren. "He was here for a few years, and he's a good guy. A good, big, and heavy player. We think he's a good guy to throw in the mix right now." Knuble had been playing with AHL Grand Rapids on a 25-game tryout contract.
