Mike Knuble has inked a professional tryout with the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins. Grand Rapids is the AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings. Knuble took part in Detroit's training camp on a tryout basis, but wasn't able to make the team's opening game roster. Still, it looks like the 40-year-old plans to extend his playing career.
