Mike Knuble got a chance to play on the second line with Valtteri Filppula will play with Johan Franzen during Tuesday's scrimmage. Knuble joined the Red Wings' training camp on a tryout basis. He had six goals and 18 points in 72 games last season with the Washington Capitals. If he does end up making the Red Wings, he probably won't get regular time on Detroit's second line despite his role in the scrimmage.
