Michalek (concussion) tallied a goal in his return to the lineup for Wednesday's playoff-opening loss to the Canadiens. Michalek was the closest Senators player near the puck when the Habs' Andrei Markov put it into his own net to give the visitors an early 1-0 lead. While the goal wasn't technically Michalek's own doing, he nonetheless made an impact right away, as he saw 15:58 of action while coach Dave Cameron deployed him on the Sens' second line. Michalek's reentry into the lineup bumped Mike Hoffman to a bottom-six role.
