Michal Neuvirth spent Monday preparing to start only to find out Braden Holtby would be between the pipes for the Caps against San Jose. Neuvirth said he was not told he would not play until he got the arena. Tomas Vokoun also expressed surprise at the decision to go with Holtby in Monday night's game against the visiting Sharks. Coach Dale Hunter said in part: ""If he was standing on his head every night would Braden be playing? No."
