Michal Neuvirth (lower body) has been placed on injured reserve. He suffered an injury to his right leg when he stepped on a puck during warmups prior to a game on Nov. 29 against Montreal. Philipp Grubauer will remain with the Capitals as the team's backup while Neuvirth is injured. He isn't eligible to return until Saturday when Washington hosts Nashville.
