Michal Neuvirth allowed two goals in the Washington Capitals' 2-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night. Neuvirth was really fighting the puck in this game but was pretty solid in net, beyond the fluke fluttering goal at the blueline from Cody McLeod and a slapshot from Erik Johnson with all kinds of traffic in front. He has allowed two goals in his last two games after a 26-save shutout against the Winnipeg Jets. Tomas Vokoun has been a bit leaky in net lately, and if the Caps really want to see if the 23-year-old can take the reigns between the pipes, they need to run with him for a while. He has a 4-6-1 record and an improving 3.27 goals-against average and .889 save percentage on the year.
