Michael Neuvirth stopped 25 of 28 shots in regulation but allowed two goals in the shootout as he and the Washington Capitals took a 4-3 loss against the Devils in New Jersey Friday night. Neuvirth started his fourth consecutive game as new Washington coach Dale Hunter appears to be favoring the goalie as his first-stringer.
