Michael Leighton has been recalled by the Flyers. It's a bit of an odd move for the Flyers, who have more pressing needs than their back-up goalie, as Brian Boucher will be sent back to the AHL. Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily news wonders if coach Peter Laviolette would be bold enough to start Boucher against the Sabres on Friday. A loss could put them in 14th place in the East. The 31-year-old was coming off an injury to his finger and has a 1-1-0 record with a 2.02 goals-against average and .933 save percentage on the AHL season. In his only start in the NHL this year, he gave up five goals on 26 shots.
