"It went really well," coach Patrick Roy said of McGinn's procedure, "But I would not be surprised if he's out for the season." There was some uncertainty whether McGinn's back procedure would be a short- or long-term repair, but Roy's words would seem to indicate the latter. The first season of the two-year, $5.9 million deal McGinn inked with the Avs in the offseason appears to be a loss, as the depth player was limited to just 19 games, producing six points and a minus-9 rating.
