With center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins suffering a long-term hand injury Monday night, Oilers fans are desperately wanting McDavid to return to the game ice. However, previous reports indicated that the rookie phenom would be held out through the All-Star break (Jan 30-31). According to Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal, McDavid accompanied the Oilers on the road trip to Tampa Bay and skated with the extras and we believe that only fueled speculation that his return could be imminent. Then again, there haven't been any official reports stating exactly when McDavid will return for a game.
