McDavid left the game Tuesday night after hitting the boards and apparently injuring his shoulder, reports Edmonton Sun's Rob Tychkowski.

No one should think the worst until the final word comes down but McDavid hit the boards extremely hard and wasn't moving his arm as he went to the locker room. McDavid has been quite promising so far this in his rookie season and would be a big loss to the NHL, Edmonton, and fantasy owners should this be anything more than an injury that keeps him out for a game or two.
