Matthias's status is up in the air against the Islanders on Thursday due to an undisclosed ailment, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Despite picking up the knock, Matthias still managed to record 14:05 of ice time in Monday's outing in which he recorded one shot, one blocked shot, and five PIM. The winger has just one goal in his last 11 outings and probably shouldn't be expected to start appearing on the scoresheet with any sort of frequency. If the 29-year-old is unable to give it a go, the Jets will likely need to recall a player from AHL Manitoba.
