Matthews looks to end five-game point drought Tuesday night against Florida.
EDGE Analysis
It ties his longest drought of the year -- the first five games of an eventual 13-game goal drought that began in late October. Matthews is still earning the same ice time as usual and firing lots of shots. But games are getting tighter and more disciplined, especially as teams work hard to stay out of the penalty box for fear of the NHL's best power play. Matthews will get back on track soon, but his early pace may be hard to match.
