Matt Read's upper body injury in November was a concussion. Flyers GM Paul Holmgren is only now sharing the details of the injury that forced Read to miss three games. Teams are very reluctant to disclosed when a player is concussed or is suspected of having a concussion. Unfortunately, that's part of the reason that fans are often more inclined to believe reports of a suspected concussion over GMs' or coaches' silence or even denials.
