Matt Read skated and took some shots Wednesday for the first time since he suffered a tear to his rib-cage muscle last week against Pittsburgh. However, he said that he was still in "a lot of pain" and is far away from being able to return. "I just show up every day, do my treatment, and when I get the green light to skate or do anything with the team, I take advantage of it," said Read, who isn't expected to skate again for a few days.
