Matt Read scored his 19th goal of the season on Thursday. That goal gave Read sole possession of first place in the NHL's rookie goal scoring race. Read has been one of the more surprising standouts among this year's rookie crop, but he's still a longshot to win the Calder Trophy over Gabriel Landeskog, Adam Henrique, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.
