Matt Read has started negotiations with the Flyers about a new deal. The 27-year-old is slated to become an unresticted free agent in July and would like to sign a multiple-year contract to stay in Philly. Read is looking to follow up his 2012-13 season performance with another solid campaign but may be challenged to do so as he is likely destined for third-line duty.
