Matt Read has notched a goal and an assist in his past two games. He made the Flyers roster out of training camp and he has started the year on the right foot. Along with fellow Philadelphia rookie Sean Couturier, Read has seen plenty of action on the penalty kill where the team has allowed three goals while be short 17 times. He plays with energy and is being rewarded with power-play minutes as well. Read was credited with four hits, two blocked shots and one assist in Wednesday's 5-4 win over Vancouver.
