Matt Ellis skated in his first game of the season on Tuesday after making the team out of training camp as Buffalo's extra forward. He got into the lineup because Tyler Ennis is on the sidelines with an ankle injury. Ellis centered a line between Brad Boyes and Cody McCormick versus the Lightning, while earning an assist on Boyes' first marker of the season.
