Matt Duchene is headed back to Colorado after playing in Sweden and Switzerland during the lockout. Duchene had four goals and 14 points in 19 games with Frolunda of the Swedish Elite League and then won gold at the Spengler Cup for Canada last week. "It's a great day for hockey," Duchene said about the tentative end of the lockout. "I am absolutely thrilled at the chance to get to wear the Avs jersey this season. I can't wait to get out in front of our amazing fans." Duchene will look to get back on track this season after scoring only 14 goals and 28 points in an injury-plagued 58 games. He had 67 points the previous year in a full season and we look for him to get close to a point a game this season. Draft him accordingly.
