Mathieu Garon was perfect on 16 shots in relief of Dwayne Roloson in the Lightning's 5-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Thursday night. Garon agreed to a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning this summer and is used to the backup role at this point in his career. Garon should start about 30 games this season barring an injury to the 43-year-old starter and should be viewed as nothing more than a handcuff for Roloson owners at this point in the season but that could change if Roloson struggles.
