Mathieu Garon allowed four goals on 39 shots Thursday as the Lightning dropped a 4-3 decision to Washington. Starting in place of the ailing Anders Lindback (illness), Garon and his teammates fell behind early and never recovered, despite scoring a few late markers. It's clear that Lindback is the preferred starter for coach Guy Boucher, all else being equal.
